|From the Washington Post, Thursday, April 18, 1996. John Joseph "Jack" Hogan was a son of John and Bridget's son William:
John Joseph Hogan, 86, a personnel officer who retired in 1971 after 31 years with the Navy Department, deid April 15 at his home in Falls Church after a stroke.
Mr. Hogan, a native of Troy, Mont., attended Gonzaga College. He did lumber and mining work in Idaho and Washington state before moving to the Washingotn area in 1939. He served in the Army in the Persian Gulf during World War II.
He was a member of a duckpin bowling league in Falls Church.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, (private) of Falls Church; three children, (private) of Fort Myers Beach, Fla., (private) of Falls Church and (private) of Charlottesville; and six grandchildren.
