|From the Chippewa Falls Daily Independent, Friday, August 13, 1920. John J. Hogan was the son of Michael Hogan, John Hogan's brother:
John J. Hogan, construction engineer, is in the hospital with two broken ribs, sustained when the porch of the Old Normanna house fell on him. He formerly owned the property and was fishing out a plank with which to make a teeter for the children of John Slowey, in an adjoining yard. In getting the plank Mr. Hogan disturbed the porch, which was about ready to fall anyway, and caused it to fall at the wrong time.
